Security on the Internet
Secure purchase over the internet. The most secure way to buy something is to get the details and ring/fax/post an order. However when sending a request over the Internet, you are dealing with so many variables, like imagine you post an envelope with your mastercard details, whats the odds of someone opening the envelope and getting your number?  It is more likely that someone at the receiver will get the number and be nasty. The same goes with Internet transactions, whats the odds of someone sniffing the network while your insignifant packet goes past with your details. Its more likely that someone who works for the company will defraud you. My personal thing is if the server and client are encrypted you would be fine but clear text transactions is still a bit risky, ie sniffer set to capture packets with the string 5163 in it.
