In their infinite wisdom, Novell decided that they couldn't wait for the emerging ethernet standards from IEEE to be ratified so they made up their own, then kept adding more, so now there are 4 valid Ethernet Frame Types for IPX, Token-Ring uses different ones too, just for fun.
