I am interested in lots of things, and my work is sort of my hobby too — it's one of the secrets of success, get a job doing what you like to do. I have been using Diigo for ages now, bookmarking and tagging articles, products, and standards I find interesting.

Network Management Software

NMIS stands for Network Management Information System. It is a Network Management System which performs multiple functions from the OSI Network Management Functional Areas: Performance, Configuration, and Fault.

I created NMIS in the late 1990s and it has been continuously developed since then. The Open Source project was acquired by Opmantek in 2010, and I continued to work on NMIS and the commercial addons. FirstWave acquired Opmantek in 2022 and NMIS continues to be developed and supported.
