Cisco NMS Integration

When installing CWSI (Cisco Works for Switched Internetworks), soon to be called CiscoWorks 2000 Campus, there are several basic things that happen to integrate CWSI into the Network Management Platform (HP OpenView, Netview, etc):

  1. Register CWSI as an application with the platform
    • Adds CWSI applications to the menus
    • Registers Icons with the relevant MIB OID
  2. Ensure that Cisco MIBs are compiled into the platform
  3. Integrate TRAP information into the Trap DB
  4. Ensure that CiscoView can be launched by double clicking the map icon
